ECI Partners - Project 3 (October 24) - Due Diligence
Problem
ECI Partners, a mid-market PE fund, asked me to conduct a Commercial and AI Due Diligence on Insurance Insider (leading provider of insights and analysis for the world's top insurers). Two week project:
Week 1 focus - Data and AI risks relating to the investment
Week 2 focus - Data and AI commercial upside to the investment (growth/innovation)
Action
This was a two week strategy project during which I conducted the following activities:
Review IM / CDD
Review further relevant commercial and strategic documentation from the target business
Desk research - assisted by safe use of AI tools
SME interviews in the sector and my network
Engage potential AI vendors to work with the Target on an 100 day plan

Commercial Model
5 year Revenue/EBITDA forecast - 5 year monthly Revenue and EBITDA forecast based on new AI-enabled propositions
5 year AI Cost forecast - build 5 year commercial model with scenarios for building vs buying
